Camping is the answer
Who cares what the question is
OUR ETHOS
With a young family of our own, we couldn't think of anything better than opening our fields to anyone who wants to stay somewhere with a spectacular view that reaches across the Teign Valley to Haldon Forest.
Our licence to operate was granted by the Freedom Camping Club, which is free to join for all campers, you can find more information here.
We are no longer a working farm but an up-and-coming pointless smallholding. With three generations living here (including our dear Dad who, if you are lucky enough to meet, is as Devonian as they come)
We are always on-site busy with the chores of country life.
We offer basic facilities, i.e. a field and Devon's finest Tap Water. A few handy extras, like our"Tea Shed" for washing up, plus shed loos and two hot showers cabin, every pitch with a stunning view and all within a two-minute walk of the Palk Arms.
Feral children are welcome to run laps around the field to let off some steam. Their well-behaved owners, as well as friendly four-legged friends, are also welcome.
Our ethos is about bringing camping back to a time when you made your own fun and parents could actually relax, with a real visit to the beautiful Devon countryside.
A space where memories are made!

Beautiful campsite. Amenities are spotless and the addition of a 24 hr shop on site is brilliant, even better being able to pay by card through the website. Being able to choose your own pitch allows you to pitch according to your priorities and the surroundings are stunning. Price is extremely reasonable and the owners are very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely return should we have chance.

Absolutely fantastic campsite. Amazing views. Large spaces between other campers. No caravans or electric hookup which we actually prefer! Facilities were excellent. Clean toilets and showers. Showers (free) very spacious as they are family rooms. Water nice and hot! Could perhaps do with 1 or 2 smaller, single showers as there are only 2 showers for everyone. Great there was a freezer to use and charging points. Pub within walking distance is a bonus! Highly recommend this place. One of the best campsites we’ve stayed at!

We stayed here for four nights mon-fri. The location is right out in the sticks with amazing views! It does not have hook ups or electricity but they do provide charging lockers at £2 for two hrs. The place itself is very relaxed and is large enough for everybody to have a large distance between them. There are two play areas for children and there is enough in them to keep them occupied. There is an area that keep chickens and goats. You can even go into the enclosure which is great. They have an honesty shop which is open 24/7 and you take what you want and leave the money. Pub 2 min walk away and serves lovely food although a little pricey. Amazing walks all around. We went as a family in our camper and really enjoyed it even though it rained a few days (always the way haha).

Vacation
Phenomenal.
Some beautiful places close by too! I walked to the reservoir, drove to Tavistock. Walked to (and got lost in) Canonteign Forest/Falls. Some locals drove me back to the campsite.
A favourite.
I love it.
Both Kate and Roy were so accommodating. I misjudged my travel time and and turned up a day late. They just added an extra night to my stay, and notified me that they'd done so (I didn't even ask!). Beautiful place, beautiful people, and also a beautiful community. Memories to last a lifetime.
