Camping without the tent poles

Two spacious bell tents in their own private field, with Teign Valley views and the occasional mole. We have put the tents up. You can get on with doing very little.

 

The useful bits

Each tent sleeps up to four humans, with a proper double bed and two single fold out futon mattresses. There is room for a travel cot if you bring one.

• Your own kitchen area with a fridge, gas hobs, pots, pans, utensils, crockery and glasses

• Electricity, sockets, LED lighting, lamps and a small smart TV

• An indoor wood burner with logs to get you started

• Your own deck, outdoor seating and picnic table

• An outdoor firepit and tripod for campfire cooking

 

Bring bedding. And your humans.

Bring your own bedding and towels. We provide a fitted sheet on the double bed only. Sunshine is not included. We have asked.

 

About that hill

The tents are in a sloping meadow. The main toilets and showers are about 60 metres down the hill. There is a portaloo beside the tents for those middle of the night dashes.

Parking is just outside the field, about 10 to 20 metres from your tent. If you use a wheelchair or need level access, the slopes may make this spot unsuitable. Please speak to us before booking so you know what to expect.

 

2027 stays

£210 for two nights per bell tent, for up to four humans. Minimum stay: two nights. Glamping opens Friday 28 May 2027.

Doing nothing is entirely acceptable. Nobody gets a medal for being busy.
