Facilities
Water receptacles and a light sprinkling
Two family size shower rooms, each with a toilet, basin and bench. Hopefully helps you contain your children while you attempt to feel human again.

Two more toilets with basins sit nearby, small but perfectly formed.

The main facilities are about 80 metres from the pitches, down a steep hill. The return journey is uphill. Gravity insists.
Small humans, large amounts of energy
At the bottom of the field, under sixes have swings, little slides and various battered toys on four wheels.

Bigger children have a climbing frame, swings, zip line and trampoline at the top of the field.

Supervision is a must. Equipment is used at campers’ own risk. Feral is welcome, an unattended wolfpack is another matter.
Dogs and their humans
Livestock friendly dogs are welcome. A bin is provided for doggie matters. Leads may be necessary at busy times.

We welcome children and dogs and let you choose your pitch. We cannot guarantee a corner away from either. You have been warned.

WiFi? This is Hennock.
No campsite WiFi. We are lucky we have stralink at the house. If you need it you can sit near and attach yourselves.

Mobile reception is generally pretty good, but your network gets the final say.

Download anything essential before arriving. The view works without a signal.
Your pitch, your way
Pick your spot and park beside it. Leave at least six metres between you and your camping neighbours. This is a campsite, not a festival sardine tin.

Tell us when booking if you are camping with family or friends.

Rally style doughnuts in the field? Less welcome.
Campfires, yes. Scorched grass, no.
Disposable barbecues are banned. Keep barbecues and campfires raised off the grass. An apology does not make the grass grow back faster. Bricks are available at the bonfire area.

Bring a fire pit or basket, or borrow one of our small fire baskets. First come, first served.

Logs are £6 a bag.
Devon’s finest tap water
Three drinking water taps are dotted around the field. All taps on site provide drinking water.

There is a chemical disposal point. It is hidden because it is ugly. Ask us and we will point it out.
Stable with a table
The honesty shop is open 24 hours. There is a communal fridge, a freezer for your ice packs and bags of logs. Help yourself. Remember the honesty bit.
The Tea Shed
Near the pitches, with washing up facilities, tourist information and a large Ordnance Survey map. The dishes remain your department.
The local pub
The Palk Arms is a two minute walk and a ten minute crawl back, depending on your enthusiasm for the local ale. Check their opening times before setting off.

Rubbish. Yours, mostly.
Use the separate bins provided for bottles, cans, cardboard, food and plastics. Please sort it properly.

Broken chairs, air beds, tents and kitchen sinks must go home with you. We are a campsite, not the tip.
Breakfast without the washing up
Cooked breakfasts, rolls and proper coffee on Saturdays and Sundays, 8.30 am to 11 am.

From the late May bank holiday until the end of August. Check the latest opening information during your stay.

You are on holiday. The frying pan can have a morning off.
Kettle, microwave and a little electricity
A kettle and microwave are available in the shop. Camping does not have to mean cold beans.

Six charging lockers keep your electronics under lock and key.
Electric, with limits
No electric hook ups. There is a free socket near the shower block for inflating air beds.
