A few simple safety bits (we’ll send you the build guide or click the link below)

Grassroots mower racing in the heart of Devon – open to all, fun for all!
It all started with a random YouTube binge, one minute we were watching something normal, the next we were deep into mower racing videos.
After a bit of head-scratching (and a lot of laughing), we realised hardly anywhere in Devon was doing it, so we thought, why not?

In September 2024, we built a track in one of our fields, signed up twelve brave mowers, and let rip. It was loud, chaotic, and the crowd loved it.
By April 2025, Round 2 rolled in with double the racers, double the crowd, and double the madness.

With a group of drivers now sitting at nearly 40 and growing,
Safe to say, Mower Mayhem is here to stay.
The Spirit of Mower Mayhem
My son and his mates have been tinkering with anything that moves since they were young - tractors, quads, bikes, and yes, even sad little ride-on mowers destined for the scrap heap.
If it’s broken, rusty, and looks like a bad idea, even better.

Mower Mayhem is built on that exact spirit:
-
Take something old and battered
-
Give it some love (and probably a new belt or two)
-
Send it hurtling round a field with a bunch of other lunatics doing the same.
No need to be part of a club, no big committees, no special licences — just bring a safe mower, a bit of common sense, and a good sense of humour.
What Makes Mower Mayhem Different?
-
No glossy corporate sponsors
-
No £8 sausage rolls
-
No boring speeches
-
No snobby attitude
Just proper grassroots racing, fair prices, and a good day out for anyone who fancies it.
We charge a small entry fee to cover costs, hand out actual trophies (yes, real ones, not just a firm handshake), and every event we tweak things based on what we learn, better layouts, better systems and a few more surprises each time.
