Nestled in the heart of the countryside, Hennock Hideaways is a family-run, vibrant camping and glamping site that has grown from a blank canvas into a thriving site over the past 8 years. Owned and operated by us, a lively family of eight plus an assortment of friendly animals and pets, our site offers a unique, laid-back camping experience where guests are encouraged to pick their own spot and enjoy the tranquillity of nature with a few home comforts.

Our ethos is built on a foundation of community, respect for nature, and a love for the great outdoors, with a sprinkling of humour and dedication to maintaining a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our site features a variety of amenities including a takeaway breakfast service, glamping options, and an honesty shop, all designed to enhance our guests' stay. Position Overview:

We are seeking one or more Campsite Wardens to join our team for the busy season from the late May bank holiday weekend until September 1st. This role is pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation and high standards of our campsite, including cooking breakfast, facilitating glamping changeovers, cleaning facilities, and engaging with our campers. Ideal candidates are proactive, have a good sense of humour, and are comfortable with flexible hours that vary with the busyness of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Cooking breakfast in our takeaway stable, including serving excellent coffee with the assistance of our team (Saturdays and Sundays, 7.30-11am).
Facilitating changeovers in our two bell tents, and maintaining cleanliness and stock levels in the glamping area
Cleaning and checking the shower and toilet cabins, as well as additional site facilities, daily (approx. 1 hour daily).
Conducting general site inspections for maintenance needs and engaging with campers to ensure a welcoming atmosphere (approx. 2 hours per week).
Optional tasks include feeding our friendly goats and assisting with maintenance or gardening tasks depending on skills.
Availability for emergency cover during occasional evenings/overnights, with extra pay and advance arrangement.

Employment Details:

Contract duration: Late May bank holiday weekend until September 1st. A week earlier would be great so we can show you the ropes and settle on site
Weekly pay at £12 per hour, with hours logged directly with us.
Hours: 20-30 per week, with potential for more based on site needs and individual capabilities.
Accommodation: Candidates must have their own unit; a pitch with an electric hook-up will be provided.
Previous experience in grounds & maintenance, housekeeping, and customer service is essential. Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

You possess a good sense of humour and are not easily offended by swearing!
You have a friendly and approachable demeanour, comfortable engaging with our guests from all walks of life
You can handle a variety of tasks and adapt to the dynamic nature of the role.
Previous references will be required and verified once offered a position.
